The Jochele is a traditional inn that has been brought into the present day. What does this mean? Quite simply, ancient South Tyrolean traditions are still alive here - even if at first glance you would not suppose so. At first glance the Jochele is a new hotel in the centre of the village of Pfalzen. With a contemporary, simple design and brunching hipsters in the guests’ garden and all of the comforts that modern holidaymakers expect. A hotel with spacious accommodation and small but perfectly formed wellness facilities with an outdoor pool. But then, if you look more closely, you will discover the ancient innkeeping spirit of the Jochele. It was important to us to preserve this special character. Ultimately it is the silent witness to our long family tradition of hospitality. As a typical inn the new Jochele will in future continue to be too what it always has been: A place where people can meet. A place that connects. A place with a regulars’ table. For this reason not only we have preserved the historic barrel vaults, but also the ancient recipes from our inn kitchen. Refined by a glance or two beyond the horizon and out over the tops of the mountains. Since time immemorial festivals have been celebrated here and in-house events held. Our guests brunch here in laid-back fashion, enjoy a hearty morning pint and a snack, or appreciate some fine dining. Take your time and look around. Let the Jochele weave its magic on you. And listen to the tales that the regulars’ table has to tell.
