Next stop: Pfalzen!
The sunny village with views of the Dolomites
Franz and Rosi know it. And many others too: In Pfalzen there are more hours of sun per day than anywhere else in the valley! No wonder then, that the peaceful little village has the nice nickname of “Sunny-village” (sunny village). But that is far from being everything that you need to know: Pfalzen is also the perfect base for a wide variety of leisure activities. The town of Bruneck with its interesting sights and the Kronplatz - South Tyrol’s number one skiing mountain - are just a few minutes away by car. And the mountain summits of the Dolomites seem close enough to touch. In the immediate vicinity there are also some of the most popular hotspots in South Tyrol: the Pragser Wildsee lake, the Drei Zinnen peaks, the imposing three-thousand-metre-plus mountains of the Ahrntal valley and the museums created by the mountaineering legend, Reinhold Messner.
